Universal for Wicked
Brand identity, design, and 3D

It was a delight to pitch and design this for the agency Aspect, director Jon Chu and the filmmakers, and watch it come to life on the big screen.
Designed as an homage to the classic 1930’s Universal logo but also an update, the intent was for this to fit right into the current film landscape. I added modern touches of color, a glassy and metallic feeling type, volumetric clouds, and a camera move from closeup to wide to match the modern Universal intro.
This intro appears in the film Wicked, and also the sequel Wicked: For Good.
