Superman. The name conjures feelings of hope, positivity and light. My intention was to bring those feelings into the design, as the new DC studios was looking to make a brighter, more colorful version of the man of steel and the newly launching DC universe. A year before release, I was brought in by Aspect for a quick design session to pitch on the campaign leading to the release of the film. The "S" mark for this new era was to be based on the modified version from Alex Ross's Kingdom Come.
